I planning to buy Maxtor DiamondMax D740X (40 Gt) and I'd like to know if my Biostar M7MKE motherboard supports it.

Biostar's website sucks and couldn't get any info on the motherboard. Seeing as the motherboard is Slot A it should support drives over 32GB, so the size shouldn't be a problem.

This board will not support ATA133 wihtout an adapter card though.

Hope that helps.

Even though the board won't support ATA133, the standards are backwards compatible and will run at the highest speed. (meaning that it'll run at the ATA standard of your motherboard since that's limiting it).
