Maxwell vs. Pascal vs. Titan for Solidworks

Hi,

I've been given a large budget from my company to build the ultimate solidworks PC. I've got all the parts covered but I'm just a bit confused when it comes to the GPU.

Can someone help me elaborate the pros and cons between a Quadro M, Quadro P, and Titan models? Which one would be best?

I've got about 1,000$ left for the GPU so please keep it under that.

I do occasional 3D works on AutoCad but it's primarily for Solidworks.

Maxwell is the generation previous to Pascal. Presumably they can be more expensive because they aren't being produced any more.


Nvidia architectures old to new:

Fermi -> Kepler -> Maxwell -> Pascal -> Volta/Turing

The newest ones are the Quadro RTX card which are using the Turing architecture, but they are only available at the high end, so wont be in your budget.

A Quadro P4000 looks to be the best card in your budget.


What's the difference with Maxwell models? How come they're much more expensive?
