Add another clock or two to the AGP for data transfer. Today games are low polygon games that don't even come close in using a GF2 card capability or a Radeon's. Those games will come eventually if the hardware can support it and then AGP4x will become a limitting factor. 8x will be needed eventually as well. Now ATI TrueForm is a fabulous solution for High Polygon type games with many objects and will delay the need for AGP 8x for ATI.

For other Graphic Card designers the AGP8x will be needed sooner unless they also use TrueForm or something equivalent.
