hi, i have an external hardrive and windows installed the drivers
automatically but i cant see where my hard drive is there is no icon
or nothing in my computer where i would expect it to be.. is there a
reason for this?

Andy, rt click on MyComputer>select Manage>Disk Management. See if the
drive shows up there. If yes assign it a drive
letter by rt clicking on it. If not, take a look in Device Manager. Is
the drive formatted?
