Mayhem Watercooling decision ??

Hey guys, im after a watercooling loop for my 3770k and eventually my 670GTX using EK water cooling blocks, mainly the plexi ones, to show off a Clear Aurora Liquid, as my colour scheme is white and orange, so orange leds/fans etc and white nzxt case and coolant,

i was wondering if there would be an issue with the coolant and the ek blocks, ive heard nickel problems with ek but i love the plexi look,

Any idea guys?

You dont want to be using Mayhems Aurora outright. Says this right on their Wiki page.

Aurora is "NOT" made for use in a home system. It has been developed for show System's (modding) and Photo work.

Basically, dont use it unless its a temporary thing to show off the system. It is not intended to be used in a loop on a daily basis, it will completely gunk up your loop.

IMO, if you want colour in your loop, do it through tubing a lighting effects. Putting dyes in your coolant/Distilled will give you more trouble than its worth.

oo thanks for that! why would you bother using it at all really if you need to only us it for a short time?? I was actually going to use a pastel from mayhem before i saw the aurora,

well what would you recommend? I dont really want to have to be draining it every so often and im not a big fan of coloured tubing,

ive been looking Orange or White colouring wise,
Pastel from mayhem?

I'm of the opinion of just using plain Distilled water and a biocide/kill coil. Get the colour from your tubing or any lighting you have. Dyes in the water will eventually stain tubing, fade and gunk up your blocks eventually.

I use Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT, it comes in just about every size and in every colour.

i may go with the orange tubing but i cant seem to see it from primochill? and orange leds to match the xigmatech fans i have,
best orange tubing?
and whats biocide or kil coil would you recommend and where abouts would this be installed?

A Kill-Coil is just a strip of silver, doesn't matter which brand.
Biocide, PT-Nuke and Deadwater are the more common ones.
