Mazda miata mx5 6 speed manual

what are the best rpm to shift in from 1st to 2nd and the rest (might as well). Friend has a 350z and i noticed on my new 2007 mazda miata that the shifts are faster not much of a problem but i haven't gotten used to it.

for casual driving around 3k rpm is a pretty general time, doesn't really matter a whole lot just get a feel for the car and you should be able to figure it out.
