Hi guys!
Can you please tell me if i can change MB asrock h81m-vg4 with MB BIOSTAR H81MHV3, INTEL H81, SOCK. 1150, VER 7.3 ? and keep everything else ?
Somebody told me i should pay attention to generation and even serial number...really?
Thanks a lot!

Solution
I was asking about hardware compatibility
Your original post said "everything else". To me that means software and hardware.
An H81 swap to a different H81 should work. You could run into issues like not having the same number of fan ports or something, but basic HARDWARE compatibility shouldn't be an issue.
You didn't identify what CPU you have. There could be a BIOS compatibility issue.

Any time you change motherboards, there is no guarantee that Windows will boot. You might be lucky and have no issues, but you should prepare to have to do a clean OS install.

CPU is i7-4790 and is compatible by what i see on Biostar MB specs.
So is not important the generation and serial number...i thought so...but i was a bit scared..
I changed the MB because i got weird restarts for months , and few days ago i added a broadcast board which burned the MB sound chip or so....
Thank you!
