Hi, I need to understand something to possibly fix my problem.

For a MB that has the max allowed CPU, what happens when I remove the battery and/or clear the CMOS?

Will the MB revert back the BIOS to its original factory version?

Will the max out CPU still be functional or will I have to update the BIOS?

Then I have no clues why I can no longer have a POST when I have rplaced MB, CPU, PSU and Memory (graphic card disconnectex).

I posted a thread in the hardware/syatem section with every thing I tried.

bios is on the motherboard, if you replace the MB, it might not have the bios version to support the cpu.
I understand for the used MB I bought (identical to current one) that this could happen. But why this is also happening to my current MB that has worked successfully with this CPU for years?

Could the BIOS code have corrupted (not the CMOS)?

could be mb failed. cpu failed. psu failed.

what was the original issue?

I have 2 identical motherboards. Swaping them did not fix the issue.
I havs 2 identical CPU. Swaping them did not fix the issue.
I bought a new PSU. This did not fix the issue.
I removed the graphic card. this did not fix the issue.
I have brand new RAM sticks received last week from Corsair to replace my defective RAM (original problem)
