MBP 2011 trade for...

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I'm currently at the crossroads of a trade.

You could probably put together a better desktop after flogging the MBP. On ebay the i7 models are going for £600+, they hold their value better than a PC.

i would absolutely pass on that trade, its not a great deal for you. Not that its a terrible PC, its just old and you're likely to not get much more life out of it. Like stig said, sell it and build your own. you could build a much more current pc with the money you get from it.
