Im not sure when this started becoming an issue... but from what Ive read so far it may have occurred sometime after I switched over to an SSD and installed my WIN OS there. All seemed fine until recently where Ive been getting this error every time I start my PC. Whats odd is that if I choose my old (I formatted it after making my SSD the main boot with OS) HDD which served as an empty drive for storage purposes, it starts up fine. I decided to use this method for 2 months until now this doesnt work and the PC takes about 10 mins to get to the login screen, and when I do logon I get a black screen, but I can still CTRL+ALT+Delete to bring up the task manager and it shows that everything is loaded with services and what not.

So Ive read that the best way to fix is by repairing thru my windows CD which should reinstall the OS on the SSD and all should be fine. Is this correct? I dont wanna lose any of my data and stuff on the SSD. The HDD has already been backed up so I dont care what happens to that.

UPDATE: I just tried to run from my DVD drive with the WIN CD and I got the 0x000000e9 error. So now I cant even repair from the CD T_T.

Something is a miss in your bios unhook your mechanical drive and try to boot with your SSD drive you don't have it set as the first boot device. Also windows is on a DVD format Disc To reinstall or repair your system you must also make the 1st boot drive the DVD drive in the bios.

Yes. Ive tried booting from the DVD thru advanced options and I get that error 0xc000009 shortly after the windows cd is loading. Ill try to unplug the HDD tho, and let you know. Also, F8 just gives me my boot options, but no safe mode options T_T now.

Removed the HDD and same thing.

You need to get into the bios to set your dvd as the 1st boot option to do this either delete key f 1 f 2 maybe f 10 or f 12... when you have that set up and correct put dvd into drive then reboot system ... It should then start to run windows setup and will give you options repair install advance or upgrade ect....

Yea thats how I set the DVD as boot option 1 Johnny. DEL or F2 during the ASUS logo, and then I set it as option 1 and I still get this error.

UPDATE

So the windows loading files shows before giving me an 0xc00000e9 error. Apparently my DVD player is dead now T_T, but I dont think so.
