Hi folks,

When creating a bootable USB (using Rufus) to install Windows 10 (from ISO), is it best to set the Partition Scheme as MBR or GPT? I want to dual-boot both Linux and Windows 10 on my computer.

Also, what file system should I select? NTFS or FAT32?

Thanks! D

Why use rufus when Media creation tool can make USB and you don't need to answer those questions as win 10 would decide on what format to make hdd depending on what PC you run it on.

this probably help - https://www.groovypost.com/howto/create-windows-10-bootable-usb-flash-drive/

If PC can run UEFI boot method, I would choose GPT

fat 32, it is what the bios is expecting (though it seems it can boot from either)

notices who he is answering after responding - given up on linux? I have asked for help from people who actually use it.
