[SOLVED] Mbr window installtion

my hard disk is mbr i have data in it and i wanna install windows. In the hard drive which is mbr. I have converted it into 4 partions or maximum u can say i know f4om the boot i can change to legacy and install windows on one of partions will i loose the data of the whole hard drive

If i do so will i loose any data of the whole drive i have only one hard disk which id mbr and i cant afford to loose data

first make a new partition --> mbr > install windows on new partition>>> get files off other partition. > (backup) >reformat hole drive> non mbr > install windows >> profit

or use a linux boot disk> save files >install windows

I assume you cant boot and so this is why you are needing to mess with mbr at all >?

Yes i cant boot i just wanna known if i install windows on one of the 4 partions. Will i loose data on all the partions

You can't change MBR to GPT for a single partition. That is the whole drive.

For any install or messing with partitions, you really really really need to have all your other data saved to some other drive.
