I prefer Firefox but on some sites it screws over how they work. My wife prefer to use Bing because this aberrant behaviour doesn't occur. Recently a pop-up in Bing has appeared saying our subscription to McAfee Site Advisor has expired. I haven't touched any McAfee products in nigh unto 30 years. I can't find it on the main drive, Regedit only shows two keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\OneSettings but the "Data" column is truncated, and the app doesn't show up under Control Panel, CCleaner, Revo, or Norton as one that can be uninstalled.
The Bing page points to:
https://secure.myupdates.net/update...dlkTInyx34RUclNl&lptoken=165887e812917708379f

which sure seems to be a spam page. Any suggestions?

If you do not have any McAfee installed, and some web page is telling you there is a 'problem' with your McAfee....that is simply a scam page.

They are trying to get you to go there, where they will inform you of some 'problem', and eventuially get either money or info from you.

There is no "problem", except for wherever you're going that serves up that scam.
