Hi all,

Hope you can help - driving me nuts.. Quick backgrounder to me is Im a techy, developer and built numerous PCs over the years (1990 onwards) including 5 MCE upgrades.

Recently my MCE mobo failed and I decided time to upgrade again, below is spec with NEW highlighted:
- 460W Zalman ZM460B-APS Silent PSU (same was in MCE I original spec/build in 2006)
- *NEW* Asus M4A785TD-V EVO Socket AM3 onboard DVI VGA (ATI 4200 on board) HDMI 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard
- *NEW* Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz HyperX Memory Kit CL7 1.7V
- *NEW* AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition 3.1GHz 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 Retail Boxed Processor
- 2x 2tb Samsung sata drives
- DVD rom
- Card multi reader

Issue I have is with only the mobo installed the PC will power on for <1s and then powers off.

Investigations thus far:
- Removed all components and check no shorts / re-confirm each cardboard ring on riser seperates metal contact from mobo
- Case leads connected correctly
- PSU seems to pass minimum 15A on +12V requirement mobo states needs (PSU has +12V1=6A and +12V2=18A)

I am at a loss to the cause, excpet for maybe is the power supply not powerful enough for this new spec?

Any help much appreciated as now 4th day trying to resolve and suspecting faulty mobo?

Many thanks
