I know it's a super old board, its for my little sister. We got the HP Pavillion a6200n from an outlet mall where they have the decent normal desktops. All she wants to do is play ROBLOX but the PC can't even run it without crashing. It has the standard parts that an HP Pavillion a6200n has, but with 4gb of RAM and a decent harddrive.

I'm looking to upgrade the CPU and Video Card on this thing, but..I mean, shit, i don't even know where to start. I just need something that's good enough to run roblox, nothing more. As it is now, Roblox keeps crashing constantly for her on games with either a lot of affects or a lot of players (possibly using particle effects and stuff).

Graphics-wise, you have a PCIe x16 slot. Don't know whether it's PCe 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0, but I wouldn't plan on using anything more powerful than a GT 1030 or a low-power GTX 1050 (i.e. one that doesn't require PCIe power connectors), as you most likely have a low-quality/low-wattage PSU in that system (& odds are you won't be able to find a decent replacement for it). You may also have to settle for something a little older (i.e. GT 710 to 730 or GTX 750/750TI), as I've seen a number of posts about older motherboards struggling with newer GPUs.

CPU-wise...not sure what's already in there, but apparently the best that will work with it is the Athlon 64 X2 5600+. I know, they're all old...

I know, they're all old CPUs, but I would say that unless the PC currently has a) the Athlon 64 X2 4000+ or lower, or b) any of single-core Athlon 64 CPUs, it's not going to be worth replacing it.

The minimum system requirements for Roblox include a graphics card with DirectX 9 minimum and Shader Model 2.0 which that PC does not have.
