MDR 1000x Headset Help

I bought the Sony MDR 1000x headset yesterday and it has worked fine until now. I got into a voice chat with a friend during a video game and the voice chat came through but there was no game audio. Is there a fix?

Sounds like your computer is trying to use multiple audio outputs at once. simply go in game and voice chat and alt-Tab or hold the windows key to get to the desktop then select the speaker menu in the bottom right corner and you should see both auto streams. then just set the device for both to your headset and you're golden.
