I do not know how it started, but I can't get rid of it.

After switch laptop on, there is message ME IS IN RECOVERY STATE... , and after that Windows run normally.

I downloaded and installed latest Bios update. No change. Replaced CMOS battery, nothing. Perform zero-fill on SSD, run fresh Win7 install, downloaded all drivers from HP site, including Intel Managment driver, and problem is still there.

Also I had try to Reset Bios settings to default, and Restore factory defaults, no change.

Have anyone run into similar problem?

Laptop is HP EliteBook 8560P

in certain cases there is a newer bios update available, you could try to find it on their forums, also the suggestion about the intel specific device giving problems on those posts could be happening to you too

other than that, perhaps is time to get a new laptop? the mainboard could be having problems and causing this situation
ME?

no idea what is me and i have used hundreds of that freaking old, ugly and heavy metallic laptop

are you sure it is not a program you are installing, rather than a hardware situation?

i did a small search on the topic and found a couple replies but for another brand and model of laptop and seems to be pointed to a problem on the bios

if you can't find another bios version or find a trick in the bios to stop annoying you, you will need a new laptop, yours is out of warranty surely, unless you got one with windows 8 and it was bought in 2014 and comes with 3 years warranty, very few hp enterprise laptops comes with that warranty now

I really do not know what cause this.

tnx, I searched all that links but all what they suggested, looks like I already attempted that with no result. Also yesterday I had try to reset BIOS again by removing CMOS battery (I had it removed more than 20 minutes) but nothing. After I plug power it ask me to press Enter, and nothing changes.
