I'm thinking of buying the ASUS H61M-F. it says that it supports Maximum shared memory of 1024 MB.

Does that mean my AMD Radeon HD 6900 2GB will be only utilsing 1GB of its memory? Or do they refer to the on-board gfx?

Solution
Hi

Almost certainly it refers to how much of ram can be used by integrated graphics
If you have a radeon in pci-e slot you can disable integrated graphics or it may be done automatically by bios

GPU will share main system when needed, up to a maximum of 1024MB.

Can be of benefit, when it loads stuff that doesn't need quick access, leaving the main GPU memory for textures and the like that do.

Normally controlled by the driver / AMD GPU control software.
