Mechanical Keyboard Decision

I'm split between the Cosair K70 and the Black Widow 2014. Any thoughts on the two? Whats the difference? I'm also open to any other mechanical keyboards.

I honestly cannot recommend Corsair keyboards just yet. I have the K95, and after roughly eight months I got my first dead LED. Rather than a simple fix of replacing the one LED myself, I have to send the board to Corsair. So now I have to pay shipping costs to get another board, and sure hope that one does not have issues. I would be able to say more in a few weeks, but can't recommend at this time.

I have a K95 and also have dead LEDs, but my friend has a K70 from much longer back and has no issues with his LEDs.

The real question is, are you doing mostly gaming? The K70 keys are faster to press, and a lot quieter, but the Black Widow keys have a more satisfying tactile feel while typing. The software on the Razer side is a little bit better too, in my opinion. However, the build quality of the Corsair feels a lot more sturdy (minus the possible aforementioned LED issues)

I'd say put hands on both of them if you can, but if I had to pick, I'd go back to my old blue LED Blackwidow in a heartbeat if someone hadn't spilled soda on it :\ so I'd say get the Blackwidow Stealth over the regular blackwidow 2014 for the best overall package. The K70 keys feel great though, and are a lot easier to press, and the raised keys on aluminum body are a lot easier to keep clean, but the software is lackluster by comparison if you plan to make any macros.

If you don't plan to make any macros ever though, then go with the Corsair, imo. Quieter, your neighbors will hate you less, and feels more premium quality because of the aluminum body. Just watch out for any dead LEDs. Like I said, my K95 has them from just after a few months, but my friend who's had his K70 for almost a year doesn't. I'm holding out for the K70 with RGB lighting to try next.
