Mechanical Keyboard Number Issue

Hi all,

So I have a Ducky Shine Mech 3. I have this weird issue were the zero key in between the number nine and the minus key doesn't type out the number. If I press shift and zero it puts in the [strike]ending[/strike] close bracket. The numpad zero also works fine.

It suddenly stopped working, no hardware or anything was changed. It's a fairly new keyboard

Things Iv'e tried:

Rebooting
Different USB port
External Clean
Internal Clean
Inspection of key and switches (looks fine)

The LED for the number also works fine.


Iv'e noticed however that the number zero key will work if I am inputting a password. Say I'm signing in to windows and I use the zero key. I click to show my password and the key has entered.
But than it wont work in a word document or literally anywhere else.

It's more of an inconvenience/annoyance because I type a lot and I type fast. Moving how my hands are resting to use the numpad zero instead is quite a hindrance.

sounds like a bad switch. If still under warranty, contact Ducky for a replacement - otherwise you can always DIY a replacement, you will have to disassemble, desolder / resolder the replacement switch. Example here
