Mechanical keyboard recommendations?

Hi,

I have never owned a mechanical keyboard, but I have been doing some research into getting one. However they are a bit pricey, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

I'm looking for a quiet one, which (I think) is the Cherry MX Red or Brown switches (I could be wrong). I can't afford anything top of the range, and when I've searched on amazon, most of them are £50+

Are there any decent mechanical keyboards with red/brown switches for less than £50? (the lower, the better).

I appreciate any suggestions.

For less than 50 you cant get a mechanical keyboard like this, not a quality one. So either save a bit more, or don't buy one.

So what is the cheapest one I can get, which is decent quality??

Well I would say Cooler Master QuickFire Pro is the cheapest and best option. There are some others below it - the Ducky One, but they are 10$ less and for that much I would prefer just getting the CM.

Ah, you are in the US. Prices are completely different in the UK. Ducky One is £109.99 and CM QuickFire is around £75.

Surely there is something cheaper?

I'm going to wait and see if anyone from the UK see's this thread, because there may be something cheaper in the UK which is expensive in the US.

Well you can look into the stores which sell those, but I am pretty sure you won't find one cheaper than 70.
