Hello, first of all thank you for all the great help this community provided me with various PC related issues.
Was searching and I could not really find a fix to my issue. I have a mechanical keyboard ( by thermaltake) and It has 2x USB ports on it, so you can easier plug-in anything you have. My issue is, the usb won't work, they do charge my phone if I plug it in, but they don't act as a USB.
Also the keyboard won't work on the boot menu, only in Windows I can use it.
I have HP Compaq dc7900(upgraded, but same motherboard.)

Solution
"Also the keyboard won't work on the boot menu"

A common problem with USB keyboards on some systems (mine included).
The fix is to use a PS/2 keyboard (a native PS/2 keyboard, not a USB one with a PS/2 adapter).

I can't say what's wrong with your keyboard's USB ports though. I've never owned one that has them.
