MechWarrior 4 Merc : Zonestats

I am unable to create a zonestat account for Mechwarrior 4 merc.

When i start the multiplayer option from the main menu I have to select a
connection. This connections seems to function correctly because i am able to
play games online (using Zone).
On this screen there is a button 'Zonestats...' to setup or review your
zonestats. When i click this button i get the message 'Error - Your account
was unable to connect to the ZoneStats Server.'. (and i am connected to the
internet)

I have tried this with and without third party add-ons (re-instelled it) and
in both cases i'm having these issues.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Or can you redirect me to the proper
support site because i can't find support for this on The Zone or on the
Microsoft site
(http://support.microsoft.com/select/default.aspx?target=assistance&c1=510&).
Any help would be welcome.

You can try posting your question to the Zone.com newsgroup:
It's listed as "Games Zone" in the browser based newsgroups list.
