I decided to have a dedicated media center PC.

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+
CPU speed: 2532 MHz
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit build 7600 [No Service Pack]

I got ASUS ENGT430 from microcenter and installed it.

It performs great for me. But I am not sure this is the best out there for a budget of 80$.

I am not a gamer but I watch lot of movies on my PC.

Did some benchmark using FurMark Version:1.9.0

and here are the result from that

I have a Onkyo 7.1 setup as my home theater and this card support 7.1.

for the gurus have any idea, please put you thoughts here.

So I can buy the best card for my HTPC.

Thanks in advance

A hd 5670/6670 512mb would of been a much better choice for you. The 430gts is a very slow card for it's price. You would need two 430 gts to run against a hd 5670.

The hd 5670/6670 is the same price as a 430gts, yet it crushes the 430 gts.

HD 5670 is orange/red

430 gts is green

Should've asked us before you got it, but it's good that you still like it since your not a gamer.
