[SOLVED] Media Creation Tool won't work on GPT formatted system?

I can't get the media creation tool from MS to complete on any of my GPT systems. I have to drag out a legacy system to build a W10 flash drive. What's up with that?

The only platforms I've ever run the MCT on have modern hardware and are formatted GPT.

If you have not tried using the MCT to download the ISO, then using Rufus (or the utility of your choice) to create the bootable USB media, that's what I'd suggest you try.

Your description of "will not complete" is too vague to give any more specific advice.

This is so weird. I just ran the tool again on another USB flash drive on my GPT machine, and it worked flawlessly. It has failed every other time with a cryptic message something like "opps. something went wrong. we can't..." whatever it said. I can't remember the exact wording.

So, I guess there's not much to go on now. I'll just marked this as solved.
