Got my sons rig out of the way now it's dads turn.

This is going to be our netflix / downloaded movie player. I am also going to add a tuner card for a DVR and get rid of my cable boxes.

I also want it to game as well as an xBox one and PS4.

I am unsure what software is best to library all the downloaded movies. I have close to 1,000 titles.

Also what operating system is best. I may and the MCE LCD module and I want a remote.

Any advise from the pros here?

Solution
Go DDR3 1866 RAM for the FX series CPUs.

Upgrade the stock cooler if your case can support it. To stay in budget, a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus or EVO is a good blend of compactness, performance and cost. It will also support ~ 4.4GHz OC on near stock voltage for that CPU with good case ventilation.

Thanks I will change the ram.

I was going to buy a cooler because everyone complained about the noise from the stock one anyway. I just forgot to add it to the list.

Thanks again
