Question Media Player continually triggered to open, constant interruptions!

Issue:

Periodically my desktop decides to continually attempt to open an MP3, it happens about a dozen times in 2 minutes. During that time, I'm constantly having to close the media player (or whatever I've selected to open MP3s) to get back to the window I'm working in. Extremely frustrating when composing emails or, well, anything!

I've poked around in task manager, but can't seem to see where the MP3 is coming from.

Any ideas how to diagnose/stop this frustrating problem?

Do you know the name of the MP3? You may also want to run a sfc /scannow and do a virus scan.

I can't see what MP3 is triggering it, it never actually opens; only the player opens and then does nothing (other than irritate me, that is).

I ran MalwareBytes, no results. I'll run sfc/scannow and post results.

I ran sfc/scannow, which did some repairs. However, I still have the issue of mystery MP3s trying to open sporadically.

Well, after a ton of diagnoses, it turned out to be my keyboard. Something about typing quickly or pushing keys too hard was triggering the "play" button on my keyboard with media controls. So stupid.
