Streaming radio stations often allow one to choose to use real one player or
windows media. On my wife's computer, which is using XP Home, when she
chooses to use windows media, real one comes on. In fact, real one comes on
even when it is not available as a choice. Moreover, on her machine,
identical to mine, the station broadcast is continually interrupted for a few
seconds. Whether that would happen with Media Player we don't know because
we can't select it. How can we get to choose Windows Media Player?

When RealPlayer is installed, the default setup hijacks ALL
settings and file types. It will also keep resetting file
associations. It is close to being scumware IMHO.

If you need to view Real media, try JetAudio
www.jetaudio.com for a cross-platform media player. It is
free and can configured easily.
