Good Afternoon All,
Looking at purchasing a budget mini desktop to use as a Plex Media Server and General File Storage. Just wondered whether the below system will be suitable for my needs:
•Wirelessly streaming 720p movies, music and photos to a Roku/IPad/Laptop – I will only ever stream to one device at a time.
•Light browsing, office productivity and ‘flash’ gaming.
Model:
Acer XC600 PDC Mini Tower
Processor: G2020
RAM: 4GB
HDD: 500GB – Will look to swap for a 3TB drive which will be more than enough.
WiFi
My biggest concern is whether the G2020 will have enough horsepower to stream to my devices smoothly. I know I could go for the slightly more expensive i3, but I don't want to pay more for performance that I will not really benefit from.
Hoping someone can share their experiences?
