I apologize in advance if this isn't the correct place to make my topic. Recently, I had trouble streaming and internet connectivity in my house. My smart TV drops or buffers wifi connection in the midst of my movies streaming from a server i built. I just bought the netgear r7000 nighthawk, to replace my decade old router. My question is, I may purchase a linksys ac bridge (wumc710) to connect to my TV. I was wondering if the TV would be able to stream from the server if I connected it to the ac bridge along with the TV. Or would I have to connect the media server into the router? Thanks!

What's a media bridge useful for? Say you have a smart TV in your downstairs entertainment room and a wireless router in your upstairs home office. You want Internet access for your smart TV, but it doesn't have built-in wireless connectivity. You can place a media bridge near that TV, connect the bridge wirelessly to the router upstairs, and then connect the TV to the bridge via an Ethernet cable. This will put the TV on your home network and bring it Internet access.
.
I guess it is for that purpose only but you can confirm it with the smart tv vendor online or locally(if they have that much knowledge)..
