What after market tuner card remote combo works with MediaCenter XP?

You can't buy MediaCenter. So certain hardware is supported but you can't find the files needed. LOL! Even the AIW Radeon 9600 is supported.

Probably your best option is the Hauppauge PVR series, I believe those are supported and they do meet MS's earlier hardware compression requirement.
