[SOLVED] Mediasonic 8 drive bay

I want to purchase the Mediasonic ProBox 8 bay hard drive enclosure H82-SU3S2 froM Newegg. The product page says it only supports 12 terabytes per bay. What is stopping me from installing more capacity in those bays when 24 terabyte drives come out? I tried asking on Amazon and Newegg and the answers were VERY vague, along the lines of violating the terms of use, rewriting what I already said "the bay only supports 12 terabyte per bay", "this is the older model that supports 12 terabytes per bay" I already KNOW all of that! WHY can't I put a 24 or 48 terabyte hard drive in these things if we are still using SATA then? I NEVER heard of per drive capacity limits on motherboards before, why is this any different?

So you never heard of the 137gb barrier, the 2tb barrier...?
Anyways I believe you are correct that if it can support 12 TB then it should also support more, much more.

[edit] Oh look, here it says it supports 14TB & 16TB drives. LoL I think they will change this every time a larger drive comes out.
