MemOK - DRAM Solid Red Light

Mobo: ASUS z97-a
RAM: Patriot Viper 3 DDR3 (2x8 GB)
CPU: i7-4790k
GPU GTX 1070

I'm not really sure what the issue is. Anyone have any issues like this? The PC actually boots, fans going and all and the red light next to memok is flashing red, then it goes to solid. I get no display on my monitors either.

try to boot with only one stick of ram at the time on both stick .

I seem to have found an issue. The mobo manual tells me to use a2 and b2 as the primary ram slots. The a2 alot on the mobo doesnt snap open and closed like the other ones. Could this be the issue?
