Memory 3200 (OC) on a motherboard

Will this AsRock Z370 Extreme4 motherboard https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157789 use the 3200 ram. Just making sure as it basically states (OC) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233867.

Pretty sure the ram will work on it. Just wanted to make sure.

The RAM will run at the default speed of 2133 MHz when you first start your PC.
You'll need to activate the XMP profile in the BIOS for the RAM to run at it's rated 3200 MHz frequency.

Alright so the default of the ram I posted from link which shows 3200 mhz will be default 2133, but when XMP enabled will be 3200 etc?

Yes that's correct... XMP (extreme memory profile) it's basically an OC profile for your memory.

That's why the higher memory frequencies are labeled as O.C. on the motherboard page.

Make sure you don't have one of the BIOS versions on the Extreme4 that has the memory voltages to high at default settings. Mine did and it cause extreme freezing issues. It was fixed in later BIOS updates.
