Kingston HyperX Savage 32GB (4x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 HX318C9SRK4/32(quad) will run in a gigabyte 970a-ud3p mobo (dual channel) ?

Should be fine as far as the DRAM/mobo. What CPU, that will determine how fast they can run. Not all AMD CPUs will be able to carry full 1866 might have to drop to 1600 or ???

it says hardware reserved 17.2 gb ? what is that?

It's not able to use all as is, Go into BIOS and look for EOCP or XMP, enable that, set DRAM voltage to 1.6 and CPU/NB voltage to 1.2 and see what it shows

i only changed the msconfig.....32 gb full on 😀
