Hello. I have recently noticed, usually after quitting a game, that my memory stays at around 50% idle, and there is nothing in task manager that seems to be taking up that much. It is having a negative effect on my computer - making it slower and making my games lag. Any help would be appreciated.

FX-6300
GTX 970 4GB DDR5
8GB DDR3 RAM
GIGABYTE ga970a-ds3p
Corsair 500w

Here are some screenshots, just in case I am being an idiot;

Game could have a memory leak, but I have a feeling something is still running.

What about the details tab in task manager? Sort by memory in there.

Also useful to launch task manager as an administrator, might let you see more stuff:

Generally: C:\Windows\System32\Taskmgr.exe - right click, run as administrator.

Well yes 4gb at idle is too much. You have too much stuff running, go to the start menu search for msconfig.exe and go to the startup tab uncheck everything that you dont need to be launched at startup. If you want post a picture of the startup tab and i might be able to give you an idea of what you can disable to free up space.

I've already done that, but here it is anyway:

I'm probably being stupid, but I see no details tab; where is it?
