Hi, I just bought a ASUS 970 Pro gaming/AURA MoBo and when I try to put in 16gb of memory ( 4GB dimm sticks each) The PC wont boot up, just gives me a LED light up that memory has error. After taking out two of the sticks and just doing 2 - 4gb sticks, it boots and says overclocking fail. Then loads like normal with no issues. I wasn't trying to over clock to begin with. I am new to overclocking, but I have not changed anything for over clocking yet, just built PC couple days ago.
I have double , tripled check the memory use with this MoBo and it all checks out, just dont know why it wont load with 4 Dimm sticks installed.
PC Specs;
AMD 6300FX 3.5ghz
ASUS 970 Pro gaming/AURA
Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2-4gb sticks) 1.5v each DDR3
Nvidia 750ti GTX 2GB
EVGA 600 PSU
1TB Hard drive WD Blue

4 sticks of 4GB - what's the model number? Did all come in a single package? If not that could be the problem, they just don't want to play. If all from a single set it may be the 4 sticks are too much for the MC. Knowing the model number(s) will help but could start with 2 sticks, and raise the voltage to 1.56 and set the CPU/NB voltage to 1.25, then save, exit, shutdown and try adding the two other sticks

model number is CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
Corsair Vengeance 8GB pack ( 2 4gb sticks)
8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 Dual Channel Kit
Speed: 1600MHz
Timing: 9-9-9-24
Voltage: 1.5V VDIMM

other pack is the same as well

Running 16gb memory strong. The Ideal you had worked like a charm. Thank you. no issues, booting up fine.
