So I've been trying to figure out whats bottlenecking me in MMOs, however, Im not sure that this is it. Basically as stated in some of my previous threads: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3054952/low-fps-low-gpu-usage-low-cpu-usage-good-rig.html I lag, my gpu and cpu usage drops and I lag. Recently I checked out some stuff to see what must be bottlenecking me. The only 2 things I could see are that my pagefile is maxed and also this: http://imgur.com/mSsbs1M I dont know what Kind of memory it is refering to but uh, yeah. Any help is appreciated

As someone indicated in the other thread, your hardware is top notch and all seems to be working fine, so that's most likely not the problem. As your problem only shows when playing multi-player games online, it's most likely an internet connection issue: if you have a crappy internet connection, or if you are downloading things while playing, it will hurt your gaming. Nowadays there are lots of devices connected to the internet at home: phones, tablets, pcs, consoles: all of them share the same bandwidth. And sometimes they don't appear to be doing anything, but they are downloading updates in the background and such. If you are in a game with people who are lagging, you will lag too, because you're computer will be waiting for info from them. Wghen playing online multiplayer games, performance doesn't just depend on your PC.

Thing is, its strictly FPS, its not laggy as in a delay, just frames. I suppose its probably just the games, I just saw those 2 things being the only things maxxed out and thought perhaps thats where the bottleneck is but I guess I just have to deal with mmos running like garbage haha

I doubt that's your issue, I'm almost certain that you issue is simply ping spikes.

CPU intensive games such as Total War and MMO's generally perform negligibly better in single-channel mode in terms of load times (which makes sense because of the lower latency) and perform on par vs dual-channel mode in terms of frames per second. There's basically 0 difference between the 2 in the majority of games.

Saying that, you might aswell get them working in dual-channel mode.

How do ping spikes drop my frames exactly? It's fps drops not input lag. I feel like I wasted money on this rig as I'm mainly an mmo player and literally all the mmos I play run like shit. Wow drops in warspear with almost no players in it, planetside 2 is known for running like shit. I don't understand why I have issues here. The gpu usage and cpu usage drops I just dont understand the lag? I'm pretty frustrated as there seems to be no solution to my problem. Upgrading hardware can't help anymore I just don't know what to do
