Memory causing lag.

I have memory issues that are causing lag spikes, I have 8 GB of RAM (2x4 in dual channel). I've already freshly installed windows 10 over 3 times, I have updated my EFI to the latest version, I did serveral virus scans, I changed the memory sticks from my other computer to this one.. But the weird thing is that there are no applications in task manager that are using a lot of memory. My google chrome is at 50 MB and it says my memory is at 100%. On my other pc I have applications running that are using like 300 MB and there my memory is only getting used for 40%. I realy don't know what the problem is, Maybe someone can help.. Thanks

Update alll drivers to the latest so look at the drivers for the motherboard as well,even just reinstall them,also use another browser to see if chrome use that much memory.

Can you post a picture of Taskmanager=>performance=>sourcecontroll? (Memory of course) This when things get laggy.

Can/will you test with another browser?

You can also look at the taskmanager,look for programs under the tab "boot" which you might not want to start at boot and disable those.

With an other browser the problem still is occuring. And there isn't any program under boot that shouldn't be there.

When starting windows in "safe mode" you still have these issues? Trying to figure out if it is hardware or software that is the culprit.

The amount is not his problem. More or better is not always the solution.

Can you check the bios for something called "memory remapping" and if disabled enable this.

I don't see memory remapping anywhere in my UEFI. My motherboard is the msi gaming m5.

It isn't there. What happens if you just run on one stick? Just trying things now ...

Just what you expect it to do.. But the weird thing is it uses so less MB but still says it's at 100% and causing lag that's just so weird..

Maybe the memory controller of the cpu is shot,could talk to the Intel,make a support ticket ,see what they have to say.
Could try and reseat the cpu cooler,maybe that will help,but it's a long shot.Sometimes one channel doesn't work because of this,maybe in your case it just brings things out of balance in another way.
