memory chip repair

i have a sandisk Cruser Facet 8gb, i accidentally bent it. i opened it up and took the chip out (a silicon chip i think) and there is a crack through it. is there any way at all i can recover the data off it because there is 2 years worth of coursework on it and i didn't make a backup 🙁. if there is any companies in the uk that can fix it could you also please tell me . thanks

Not to be snarky, but this is precisely what backups are for.

And don't entrust your life work to an easily damaged or lost flash drive. Ever.
