Memory Compatibility Asus Motherboard

Hello,

My PC has an ASUS P8H61-MX R2.0 Motherboard and I was wondering what the memory capacity was for it. It has 2 slots for memory and as far as the book that came with it says it can handle 16gb, but when I try 2x 8GB memory in it the monitor says No Signal.

Is there a specific memory that works with this?

Can it actually handle 16gb or is the manual wrong?

Please help.

What Ram do you have ------> Speed (Mhz) , and which manufacture?
Is your bios to latest update?
What is your previout ram?

Might try resetting CMOS, if no joy check for a BIOS update and start with one stick
