no if you add a diff make it will no sence up. meaning the settings will go out window and you will have stabilities issues, you can get 8gigs if you want but being that an amd system is already lacking some speed you really dont want to throttle it in any way. thats why i chose16

you definatly have to take the old out and put the new in. simple as that or you will have no speed gain
Thanks! Would it be ok to keep the 8gb I already have and add another 8gb of a different make? Will it be okay? and the 8gb I have now is 1 stick, If I added 8gb more which is 2x4gb which slots would I put them in? And would it be fine if the 2 kits are different speeds? Would it just be wise to remove the old, slower RAM?
