Memory compatibility confusion

Hi,

I was looking on my motherboards website about its RAM compatibility and It says this: https://gyazo.com/9fca2062697c9fdddd76b1aa532e403b

It says it supports DDR3 1333+ but then it says up to 1333MHz, So I was wondering if anything above 1333MHz would actually reach its max speed or whether or not 1333MHz is its max speed; I'm wanting to upgrade.

the ram for you board will reach max 1866 and the ram you need to buy for best compatbilty is kingston red 1866 and it is not nessarily your board that determins the speed but more so your amd CPU and most will support 1866 on there own.

Thanks! Would it be ok to keep the 8gb I already have and add another 8gb of a different make? Will it be okay? and the 8gb I have now is 1 stick, If I added 8gb more which is 2x4gb which slots would I put them in? And would it be fine if the 2 kits are different speeds? Would it just be wise to remove the old, slower RAM?

no if you add a diff make it will no sence up. meaning the settings will go out window and you will have stabilities issues, you can get 8gigs if you want but being that an amd system is already lacking some speed you really dont want to throttle it in any way. thats why i chose16

you definatly have to take the old out and put the new in. simple as that or you will have no speed gain
