System specs
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 400x8- 3.2ghz | XFX GTX 260 868mb 192 Core
2x2GB G-skill PC6400 DDR2 800 | Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 (rev. 1.0) | TX750w Corsair PSU

I'm about to purchase 2x2GB DDR2-800 Corsair xms2 DDR2 800 5-5-5-18 1.8V, the G-Skill that I use is 2x2GB G-SKill DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 1.8-1.9V both have a CAS of 5. Will these work well together? I overclock but my memory is at DDR2 800 as I've never seen the benefit of going to 1066.

I imagine I would have to set the G-skill to 5-5-5-18 and make sure both are set to 1.8v manually?

Thank you.

Disregarding the difference in voltages and timings, those two cards should work together, but there is always a chance that since they are from different brands they won't.

You will have to match the voltages, I would first try lowering the G.Skill and use a program to test if it's still stable, if that doesn't work, check your BIOS and bring the Corsair up to whatever the G.Skill is running at.
And yes, bring the G.Skill's RAS up to 18.

But I have one question... why not just spend another ten bucks and get another G.Skill the same as your first?

Buying a used set for $25 to my door, sadly I haven't seen my ram up for that price and I've been hoping for it. I'm just looking for a few parts to keep my system alive for a few more years :) I have a GTX 470 for $50 coming my way soon as well (gotta love haggling someone down that has no clue)
