Hello,
A couple weeks ago I built my first PC and got it up and running and everything. However, I encountered frequent BSOD's and I couldn't figure out why. I've been troubleshooting for the last week, trying everything that is recommended for the BSOD, including memtest86 which came up with nothing. Recently, I was checking the compatibility of my memory with my motherboard and the memory's website says it isn't compatible with my motherboard but the motherboard's website says that it is. Which one is correct? I would like to know if this could have anything to do with the computer crashes.

My motherboard: z370 gaming plus
Memory: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000MHz (model # CMK16GX4M2B3000C15)

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

RAM usually causes freezes/jittering and/or then a crash. your BSOD is most likely a driver failure. if can share us the details on that BSOD, or the minidump file that would be helpful. you may want to visit your mobos support site and download and reinstall drivers starting from your chipset. BIOS update may be necessary.

Thanks for replying,
I have the minidumps for the last 2 days, if that is any help. Also, does it make any difference if the computer screen freezes then crashes without showing the BSOD screen? It used to show the blue screen but now it doesn't. My Bios is up to date, and I will reinstall the mobos drivers.
