Question Memory config ddr4 problem

Hello,
Is it possible to install 3 x 4 GB + 1 x 8GB memory stick into a ASUS B350?
The 2x4GB + 1x 8GB works.... But the 3 x 4 GB + 1 x 8GB.
The documentation is little confusing stating that any type of mix or memory sizes can be installed to channel A and B, means that can be any of the 4GB and 8GB installed or only in pairs? It is probably a bad translation.

That'swhypeople are strongly discouraged to mix RAM, results are unpredictable. If you must mix some it's best to have two identical pairs, a pair per vhanels so for instance a pair in A2 and B2 (Which is usally default for 2 sticks) amd othet pair in A1 and B1. Two dfifferent sticks in one vhannel is usually doomed for failure. Even if it works, performance will be dismal.

did you tried it with an application pls?
I run these mixed ram, I have same fps in a rts I did not try to render something big but I think it would work well...
