I'm looking at the new P35 1333 FSB mobos and thinking about RAM. With a minimal (being generous here) knowledge of all this, and after reading the madshrimps article on memory speed and performance, what would be a good memory selection for the P35 running stock? For overclocking?

Without some idea of what FSB speeds you are planning on running, we can't really answer your question. No need to get huffy, just tell us what FSB speeds you are thinking of (my psychic friend is off duty  ).

The board has a 1333 FSB. Thinking about an E6550 / E6750 to fully use it. Also would like to try O/C, nothing radical, but a good boost. Thanks -

Well, to match max memory bandwidth with the FSB bandwidth, a 1333MHz FSB bus data rate equals 667MHz data rate per memory channel in a dual-channel system = a pair of DIMMs running at DDR2-667 speed.
For overclocking, you can adjust the memory bus speed upward along with the FSB speed.

Thanks. Now looking at DDR2 667, there is PC 5300 and PC 5400 and (675 PC 5400!). There is also a wide variety of voltage and latency.

Do I need faster RAM to O/C? Looking at these:

G. Skill CAS 3 / 3-4-3-8 $150

OCZ CAS 4 / 4-4-4-12 $75

Not interested in competiton, just a fast stable system. I'll go as fas as a well-ventilated case and a decent CPU cooler.

Crucial Rendition 667mhz 4,4,4,12 1.8v capable of 900+mhz Micron chip 29.99/gb Sounds great eh? Links are in lots of other topic in the forum.
