Memory fail...

Hi!
I´m getting at "Memory test fail" error at the boot up seq.
I then have to press F1 to continue. I don´t have any problems with my computer nor the memory after that. If I do a memory check using a windows program or such It´s always ok...So...my questions are: What causes this memory fail-message? Is there any way to correct it or to tell my computer just to ignore it so that I don´t have to press F1 every time i start my computer?
Best regards,

Well, the memory probably is bad but the address is so high that the processor rarely puts data in that part of the memory. I've got a K6-2 400 that has a bad DIMM, but the bad part of it is in a high memory address- it runs fine in regular windows applications. When I go to play a game, however, it crashes. I wouldn't worry about it. But, if the memory has a warranty, replace it.
