ocz pc4000 xtc el? mushkin redlines? crucial ballistix? How important to a fps gamer are tight timings at the sacrifice of higher mhz ram? I have located a set of the ocz el xtc pc4000 gold for 140. I know this is a somewhat outdated combo but this is my first build and my first overclocking sandbox to play with. Should i jump on the ocz or what? Thanks guys

This is a link to a review to the ram that I currently use.

I am in complete agreement with this guy. I currently have this ram clocked to 267Mhz running 1:1 with my CPU @2.4GHz. It's been stable in gaming for months. Both ram and CPU are at STOCK Voltage.
I can easily run the CPU at 2.6 with a divider, and would probably get 280-290 MHz out of these chips for a 1:1 ratio at 2.6GHz with some tweaking. Add to this, the fact that this set of ram is priced very competitively, and there is really no question that it is the best choice. Other than that, the Mushkin Redline PC4000 is pretty much made for this mobo/cpu combo as well.

Hope this helps.
