memory frequency downclocked

Well I don't have much knowledge about.
So I have 2+2+1 ddr2 667mhz memory sticks installed. I think dual channel is on.
But in system memory frequency drops to 333mhz.
Why?

On what system are you running memory that slow?

should like they don't work well with each other so it down clock to make it compatible.
