Memory Frequency Issue

My EM61SM/EM61PM motherboard in my Acer Aspire E380 supports up to DDR2 800. I installed 2x1gb DDR2 800 sticks. Running in dual channel, when I use CPU-Z, I find that my memory's frequency is shown as 200.9 mhz. Is this because DDR2 is x2 for being DDR, and x2 for running in dual channel? Should my memory's frequency be higher? I have an AMD AM2 64 dual core 2x2.2 processor. Given a FSB that runs at 200, and a multiplier that is 11, the math for that makes perfect sense, but shouldn't I have a 1:2 ratio for FSB and memory clock, considering my DDR2?

On a side note: I have updated my bios on Acer's mainpage (Phoenix Award BIOS) and there are no RAM options, as far as I can see.

If this is not right, is there a program I can use to force RAM speed in Windows? Or a BIOS fix / unofficial update?

Yes.... I don't know anything about ACER mobos though...... I believe they limit the BIOS options on some pre-built machines though

It's a bug in CPU-Z.

Mondoman has it. CPU-z is reporting the actual memory clock of 200Mhz. DDR2 in fact transfers at twice the clock speed on both the rising and falling edges giving an effective rate of 800Mhz which is of course more useful to marketing.

Just for reference running in dual channel doubles the bus-width not the clock speed. It still doubles the theoretical memory bandwidth, but your mileage will vary.
